by VisitSpain on August 21, 2009

The summer has arrived and everybody is searching to go on holidays. With an never-ending amount of places to visit and destinations with seaside locations; why choose Barcelona? Look the Guida Barcellona.

Although it is not a huge city, Barcelona has formalized a name for being one of Europe?s most visited hot spots. Situated along the north coast of España, it is a exceptionally vibrant and international city. Each day the Catalonian capital caters for thousands regardless of the moment of year. This is mostly due to the variety of the city and everything it has to offer from the story behind the fantastic sites to the special bars and beaches that attracts and more travellers every year. We suggest to consult the Blog Barcellona for more information.

Now we will investigate what Barcelona has to offer in the summertime.
Despite the incontrovertible fact that it’s not an enormous town in a physical sense, it radiates a completely unique and colourful culture. Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, Casa Mil, Picasso Museum, Torre Agbar, are the most cultural attraction you need to see. As such, it is so easy to walk and reach different places whilst seeing a variety of tiny performances or stalls that may catch your eye along the way. The transport system is really easy to use and permits you to get from one point to another extraordinarily easily.

The weather is amazing. It is warm and gusty and by the night, the temperature stabilises to about 22 degrees which is perfect to go out in. During the day, if it becomes to hot, you will see some without their t-shirts on, but generally around the coastline where the beaches are typically filled. Lots of the buses and trains are air-conditioned making a massive difference as the underground metro gets extraordinarily hot very fast.

Everyday you will find an enormous amount of people walking around Barcelona, especially round the main areas like Las Ramblas, Passeig de Gracia and Portal del Angel. Here folks will be watching the street performers or benefiting from the huge selection of outfitters.

If you´re looking to discover the nightlife, then you’ll see this starts quite late. However, you can still go out earlier and take advantage of the cheap cocktails hours before nine, while chewing on tapas. Or inversely, you could wait later and go to a cafe about midnight and finish up completely in time for when the clubs open. Most bars and nightclubs are in walking range of one another in the town centre which is convenient for anyone who wants to change places or simply stop off in plaza Catalunya for an one euro lager.

Similarly in Aug, Barcelona hosts many events like the summer week holiday and the Gracia district party. Here you can experience a different sort of atmosphere which you are surely going to love. So come to Barcelona in the summer and find out what the electric town has to give.
